Summary
The new national exam to replace Standard Grades is set to be unveiled by the Scottish Government.Children now aged 10 will be the first to sit a raft of new compulsory qualifications designed to test numeracy and literacy. They will be tested in fourth year by a mixture of an exam and assessment. The new exams are linked with changes to the school curriculum which will be fully implemented in some schools from this August - and across Scotland the following year. But teaching leaders have voiced concern about the way the Curriculum for Excellence is being implemented, with almost half of teachers claiming to have little confidence.
Reaction:
This article reminds me to the Dutch system. The Netherlands also had some changes regarding schoolpolice and the ''newlearning''. Everyone was very negative about it, but eventually school system improved..for still there are still dissatisfaction by some teachers! Sometimes it isn't possible to please everyone!

I wonder why do they have to change it and why there are concerns about it. Hopefully, this change is for the betterment of the Scottish education and that the national implementation is organized and systematized.
