Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle has been taken to The Priory Clinic in London with exhaustion.Television company TalkbackThames released a statement: "Following Saturday night's show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She said she was exhausted, she said she was physically and mentally drained, she'd been sick a few times in the previous week, hadn't been sleeping, hadn't been eating - and had found the whole weight of the world's media pressure crashing down on her shoulders.

This was to be expected if you think about it! A woman who never had so much publicity in her whole intire life and in one night she becomes world famous and even gets to go to Oprah and other fomous shows! I think she just was caught up in all of this and I think that she will never have had an idea, at the beginning, the price that she might have to pay!

This is sad, isn't it. Some people should be protected against themselves - and programme makers should start to reconsider the benefits of exposing normal people to the media.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSusan Boyle wasn't a winner and in my eyes she will never be. People voted for her just because they felt sorry for her. She can't handle the attention at all. I agree with Stephanie, programme makers should reconsider the benefits of exposing ordinary people.
